Murray Recruitment are recruiting a Junior Accounts Assistant for our client based in the North Lanarkshire area.
Role Overview
This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to start their career in accounts within a supportive and dynamic team environment. The successful candidate will receive full training and be given the chance to develop a wide range of finance skills, working closely with an experienced team on all aspects of purchase and sales ledger processing.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing high-volume purchase and sales invoices
- Assisting with payment runs and posting payments
- Bank reconciliations and handling credit card statements
- Supporting VAT returns and other financial reporting
- Gaining exposure to all areas of transactional finance
- Working collaboratively with the wider accounts team
Skills & Experience
- A recent graduate in Accountancy/Finance or someone with limited experience in an accounts role
- A keen interest in developing a long-term career in finance
- Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Must be comfortable working in a full office-based role
- A driving licence is highly desirable due to the location
- Experience using SAGE 50 would be an advantage
