Murray Recruitment are recruiting an HR Advisor for our client. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR professional to play a key role in shaping and supporting a positive workplace culture. The role involves working closely with employees at all levels, ensuring that people-related policies and practices are implemented fairly and transparently.

Overview

The HR Advisor will be responsible for delivering HR policies and procedures, supporting leadership teams, and ensuring a consistent and fair approach to employee relations. This role offers a varied workload, with involvement in coaching, employee engagement, recruitment, and performance management. Strong relationship-building skills will be essential to drive HR solutions that align with business priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Improve, implement, and administer HR policies and procedures.
  • Coach leaders to develop competence and confidence in HR practices.
  • Ensure fair and consistent implementation of performance management, recruitment, absence management, and disciplinary procedures.
  • Support managers and Occupational Health in managing long-term and short-term absences.
  • Handle employee complaints and disciplinary procedures.
  • Create and promote employee engagement and wellbeing initiatives.
  • Contribute to cross-functional project teams as required.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with employment agencies to ensure efficient recruitment.
  • Maintain and share standard operating procedures (SOPs) on Teams and SharePoint.
  • Work collaboratively with HR, Payroll, and Training teams, contributing to team meetings and updates.

Skills & Experience:

  • Extensive experience in case management and investigations.
  • Strong judgement and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritise, and organise workload effectively.
  • Experience in recruitment and onboarding at various levels.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of employment law and regulations.
  • Proficiency in HR information systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High level of discretion and professionalism.
  • Desirable: Higher education qualification or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or equivalent.
  • Willing to be on-site for a minimum of two days per week, including overnight stays as required.
