Murray Recruitment are recruiting an Internal Sales Executive for our client based in East Kilbride. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established and market-leading specialist distributor within the electrical sector, known for delivering a high standard of service to customers across the UK.
Role Overview
This varied position sits within the Internal Sales team and offers the opportunity to develop within a busy and supportive office environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting day-to-day sales operations, assisting customers, and ensuring the smooth processing of orders and enquiries. Full training will be provided, making this an ideal opportunity for someone with strong communication skills and a keen eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and sales support as part of the Internal Sales team
- Answer incoming telephone calls and assist with customer enquiries
- Process sales and purchase orders accurately
- Prepare and issue customer quotations
- Maintain accurate records and documentation, including filing
- Train and utilise the company CRM system effectively
- Learn and maintain knowledge of the company's product range and service offering
- Carry out general office duties within the sales department
- Support the wider team with additional tasks as requested by management
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience within a Customer Service environment (such as a call centre or office-based support role) is highly desirable
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Good general IT skills with the ability to learn new systems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional telephone manner
- Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Positive, customer-focused approach
- Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and customers at all levels
- Strong team player with the ability to also work independently when required
