Murray Recruitment are recruiting a Financial Controller for our client based in Glasgow. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of a varied and hands-on finance role within a growing business, working closely with the Director.
Role Overview
This permanent position is ideal for a proactive and detail-oriented finance professional looking to lead all aspects of the bookkeeping and accounting functions. From daily financial transactions to monthly management accounts, this role offers a great opportunity to play a pivotal part in business operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing all bookkeeping duties including Sales Ledger and Purchase Ledger
- Processing payroll for all staff
- Managing all CIS responsibilities including payments and reporting
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns
- Producing monthly management accounts and financial reports
- Liaising with external parties including HMRC and accountants
- Supporting the Director with ad hoc financial analysis and reporting
