Murray Recruitment are recruiting a Financial Controller for our client based in Glasgow. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of a varied and hands-on finance role within a growing business, working closely with the Director. Role Overview: This permanent position is ideal for a proactive and detail-oriented finance professional looking to lead all aspects of the bookkeeping and accounting functions. From daily financial transactions to monthly management accounts, this role offers a great opportunity to play a pivotal part in business operations. Key Responsibilities: Managing all bookkeeping duties including Sales Ledger and Purchase Ledger Processing payroll for all staff Managing all CIS responsibilities including payments and reporting Preparing and submitting VAT returns Producing monthly management accounts and financial reports Liaising with external parties including HMRC and accountants Supporting the Director with ad hoc financial analysis and reporting Skills & Experience: Strong experience in a similar Financial Controller or all-round bookkeeping role including preparation and submission of CIS and VAT returns Excellent knowledge of QuickBooks and SAGE (essential) Familiarity with PAYE Master is advantageous however training will be provided. High level of accuracy and ability to manage workload independently Strong communication and problem-solving skill Offering: Competitive salary (DOE) Permanent, full-time office-based role Working hours: Monday to Thursday 8:30am β 5:00pm, Friday 8:30am β 4:00pm 25 days annual leave plus 8 statutory holidays Sick pay entitlement Company pension scheme Free on-site parking Employee discount scheme41bf1e1f-b16b-4260-a40a-17c77a06fd15
