Murray Recruitment are recruiting a CAD Technician for our client based in the Angus area.
Role Overview: This is an exciting opportunity for a CAD Technician to join a dynamic team and work in this standalone role reporting directly to the Operations Manager, responsible for producing client-approved drawings and contributing technical expertise to kitchen and bathroom design projects. The successful candidate can be based anywhere within the Angus region, with one day per week allocated to on-site surveys and four days working from home using AutoCAD LT.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify and manage documentation and drawings to enable the issuance of Completion Certificates.
- Translate hand-drawn sketches and mark-ups into accurate CAD designs for kitchens and bathrooms.
- Maintain records and manage documentation within the company’s document management system.
- Develop and implement effective work methodologies and design strategies.
- Deliver high standards of customer service, adhering to deadlines and quality expectations.
- Conduct weekly on-site survey work at locations across the Angus area.
- Support additional duties as assigned by the Operations Manager.
Skills & Experience:
- Proficient in AutoCAD LT and Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Strong numeracy and analytical skills with a high attention to detail.
- Demonstrable CAD experience is essential.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and coordinate design inputs from various sources.
- Competent in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in kitchen and/or bathroom design is desirable.
Offering:
- Salary of £30,000 to £32,000 per annum.
- 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday).
- Work from home 4 days per week with 1 day on-site in the Angus area.
