Murray Recruitment are recruiting an Accounts Assistant for our client based in the North Lanarkshire area. This is a fantastic opportunity for a recent graduate or someone with limited accounts experience who is looking to build and progress their career within the finance sector. The successful applicant will benefit from comprehensive training and hands-on experience across a broad range of accounting functions. Working alongside a knowledgeable and friendly team, you will gain valuable insight into both purchase and sales ledger duties in a professional and encouraging setting.
Responsibilities
- Inputting high volumes of purchase and sales invoices
- Assisting with payment processing and recording incoming payments
- Performing bank reconciliations and managing credit card expenses
- Supporting the preparation of VAT returns and other financial documentation
- Developing understanding across all areas of transactional accounting
- Collaborating effectively with other team members in the finance department
Skills & Experience
- A recent graduate in Accountancy or Finance, or an individual with some basic experience in an accounts environment
- Genuine interest in pursuing a long-term career in finance
- High level of accuracy and a strong desire to develop professionally
- Clear communication skills and excellent organisational abilities
- Must be willing to work fully from the office
- A full UK driving licence is preferred due to location
- Familiarity with SAGE 50 software is beneficial
