The Murray Group is seeking an ambitious, commercially driven Aftersales Manager to lead the Aftersales function at our busy Volkswagen Retailer in Plymouth. What You’ll Be Responsible For

  • Leadership & Team Development
    • Leading and motivating a multi-disciplinary Aftersales team across service, parts and workshop
    • Creating a positive, high-performance culture focused on customer satisfaction and operational excellence
    • Coaching, mentoring and developing team members through regular one-to-ones and performance reviews
    • Supporting recruitment, training and succession planning to build a strong future team
  • Operational Performance & Workshop Efficiency
    • Driving workshop productivity, utilisation and efficiency
    • Managing workshop loading, labour sales and first-time fix performance
    • Ensuring effective implementation of Volkswagen service core processes
    • Monitoring lead times, workflow and operational performance to maximise capacity and customer convenience
  • Commercial Performance & Profitability
    • Owning service, labour and parts revenue performance against targets
    • Managing departmental costs, margins and stock levels to optimise profitability
    • Driving parts sales performance, stock turn and inventory control
    • Using data and KPI analysis to identify opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Customer Experience & Retention
    • Delivering exceptional levels of customer satisfaction and retention
    • Leading the resolution of complex customer concerns with professionalism and integrity
    • Supporting aftersales marketing initiatives to drive repeat business and long-term customer relationships
    • Ensuring the highest standards of communication and service across all customer touchpoints
  • Compliance & Brand Standards
    • Ensuring full compliance with Volkswagen brand standards and manufacturer requirements
    • Maintaining departmental adherence to company policies and industry guidelines
    • Protecting departmental assets, tools and stock control processes

VAG experience would be advantageous but is not essential for the right candidate with strong franchised dealer experience.
