The Murray Group is seeking an ambitious, commercially driven Aftersales Manager to lead the Aftersales function at our busy Volkswagen Retailer in Plymouth. In this key leadership role, you will oversee the full performance of the Aftersales department, ensuring operational excellence, strong profitability and an exceptional customer journey.

  • Leading and motivating a multi-disciplinary Aftersales team across service, parts and workshop
  • Creating a positive, high-performance culture focused on customer satisfaction and operational excellence
  • Coaching, mentoring and developing team members through regular one-to-ones and performance reviews

Operational Performance & Workshop Efficiency

  • Managing workshop loading, labour sales and first-time fix performance
  • Ensuring effective implementation of Volkswagen service core processes
  • Monitoring lead times, workflow and operational performance to maximise capacity and customer convenience

Commercial Performance & Profitability

  • Owning service, labour and parts revenue performance against targets
  • Driving parts sales performance, stock turn and inventory control
  • Using data and KPI analysis to identify opportunities for continuous improvement

Customer Experience & Retention

  • Supporting aftersales marketing initiatives to drive repeat business and long-term customer relationships
  • Ensuring the highest standards of communication and service across all customer touchpoints

Compliance & Brand Standards

  • Ensuring full compliance with Volkswagen brand standards and manufacturer requirements
  • Maintaining departmental adherence to company policies and industry guidelines
