We're looking for a Senior Level / Principal Civil Engineer with strong water sector experience to join a leading design consultancy contractor. You'll work on some of the UK's most significant water and environmental infrastructure projects, helping deliver sustainable solutions that support communities and respond to climate change.
With continued growth across our Water division through AMP8 and beyond, this is an opportunity to play a key role in high-profile projects while developing your career within a well-established, technically strong consultancy environment.
Civil Engineer Role
You'll take technical and project leadership responsibility for civil engineering design across the full project lifecycle, including:
- Asset planning and strategy
- Concept, outline and detailed design
- Clean water and wastewater treatment
- Water and wastewater networks
- Flood risk management and urban drainage
You'll lead and mentor civil engineers, work closely with multi-disciplinary design leads, and take an active role in client engagement to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high technical standard.
What we're looking for
- Senior-level Civil Engineer experience within water, drainage, utilities or related infrastructure
- Background in consultancy or client-side delivery
- Proven experience leading design packages and supporting junior engineers
- Confident in client-facing roles and collaborative project delivery
- Chartered or Incorporated status (ICE, CIWEM or similar) is desirable, but not essential
