Are you a Senior Project Engineer with strong experience delivering multidisciplinary water and wastewater projects? Ready to take ownership of complex schemes from detailed design through to site delivery? We are seeking a Senior Project Engineer to lead the successful delivery of treatment and infrastructure projects across AMP frameworks in London and the South-East.
The Role
This is a hands-on, client-facing position combining technical oversight, project leadership and site involvement. You will act as a key point of contact for clients and internal teams, ensuring engineering outputs align with programme, budget and quality expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead planning, coordination and delivery of engineering solutions across treatment and infrastructure projects
- Provide technical oversight across design development, specifications, constructability reviews and quality control
- Act as primary interface for clients, contractors and suppliers
- Drive multidisciplinary coordination across civil, mechanical and electrical disciplines
- Support or lead site activities including installation, commissioning and performance validation
- Chair site meetings and proactively resolve delivery challenges
- Oversee preparation and review of technical reports, RAMS, schedules and project documentation
- Promote CDM compliance, safety standards and environmental best practice
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement in project delivery
About You
- 7+ years' experience in water/wastewater or wider infrastructure project delivery
- Degree in Civil, Mechanical or Environmental Engineering (or equivalent)
- Chartered or Incorporated Engineer (CEng/IEng) desirable
- Strong understanding of AMP frameworks, CDM regulations and D&B/consultancy environments
- Confident interpreting technical designs and coordinating multidisciplinary inputs
- Experience using AutoCAD and project/design tools (BIM or process modelling advantageous)
- Strong leadership and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects
- Excellent communication skills, comfortable representing the business in client and site forums
Working Pattern
Hybrid role based from Fleet, Hampshire with regular travel to client sites across London and the South-East. Occasional remote working considered.
