We are seeking a CAD Technician to support engineering and design teams in producing high-quality 2D and 3D technical drawings for water infrastructure and treatment projects.
The Role
You will play a key role in translating engineering concepts into accurate technical drawings that support successful project delivery. Working closely with engineers, designers and project managers, you will ensure drawings are clear, compliant and up to date throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce and update 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D or similar software
- Interpret engineering mark-ups and specifications into accurate technical drawings
- Maintain drawing registers, revisions and document control processes
- Ensure drawings comply with WIMES, DSEAR, BS/EN and relevant UK standards
- Support drawing reviews and implement design changes efficiently
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to refine and improve drawing outputs
- Assist with preparation of issue sheets and construction packs
About You
- 1-3 years' CAD drafting experience (water or infrastructure preferred)
- Qualification or certification in CAD, Engineering or related discipline
- Proficient in AutoCAD; experience with Revit or Civil 3D advantageous
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good understanding of drawing control and revision management
- Clear communicator, comfortable working within a technical team
- Organised and able to manage workload within project deadlines
Working Pattern
Primarily office-based in Fleet, Hampshire, working closely with design and engineering teams. Occasional site visits may be required.
