We're recruiting an experienced Site Supervisor to support the delivery of major upgrade works across water recycling and wastewater treatment facilities in Bristol, working within a long-term water framework programme. This role will focus on projects within operational treatment plants, including works associated with biogas infrastructure, MEICA installations and civil upgrades within live wastewater environments.

Working directly within the framework delivery team, you will play a key role ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with programme and regulatory standards.

The Role

As Site Supervisor, you will oversee day-to-day site activities across wastewater treatment and water recycling projects in Bristol, coordinating subcontractors and supporting project delivery across treatment plant upgrades and process improvements. Operating within live wastewater treatment facilities, you will ensure works are delivered safely while maintaining operational integrity across the site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily site activities across wastewater treatment and water recycling projects
  • Coordinate works associated with biogas infrastructure, treatment process upgrades and MEICA installations
  • Manage subcontractors delivering civil, mechanical and electrical works
  • Ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with programme requirements
  • Deliver daily site briefings, toolbox talks and safety updates
  • Maintain site permits, safety documentation and inspection records
  • Ensure compliance with water authority standards, environmental regulations and site procedures
  • Monitor quality of workmanship and subcontractor performance
  • Carry out site inspections in line with method statements, ITPs and project specifications
  • Support temporary works, lifting activities and confined space operations where required
  • Assist with materials coordination, plant allocation and progress reporting
  • Maintain strong communication with the Site Manager, Project Manager and client representatives

About You

You will be an experienced Site Supervisor with a background in wastewater treatment or water recycling projects, ideally with experience working on biogas systems or anaerobic digestion infrastructure.

Essential

  • Proven experience as a Site Supervisor within the water or wastewater sector
  • Experience working on water recycling or wastewater treatment plant projects
  • Experience operating within live operational treatment facilities
  • Strong understanding of permit systems, safety procedures and site quality standards
  • Experience supervising subcontractors and multidisciplinary delivery teams
  • Strong communication and coordination skills

Desirable

  • Experience working with biogas systems or anaerobic digestion processes
  • Experience supporting MEICA installation works or treatment plant upgrades
  • Previous experience working on water framework projects

Qualifications & Certifications

  • JIB Card / CSCS card
  • NVQ / 17th - 18th Edition
  • SSSTS or SMSTS
  • EUSR SHEA Water
  • First Aid at Work
  • Confined Space certification (desirable)
  • Full UK Driving Licence
