We are seeking an experienced Senior Public Affairs Manager to lead their external engagement strategy, build influential relationships, and drive advocacy initiatives that support their mission. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping policy, government relations, and communications within the built environment space.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement public affairs and stakeholder engagement strategies to influence policy and legislative developments relevant to the built environment, infrastructure, and sustainability.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key policymakers, government agencies and industry leaders.
  • Monitor and analyse political, legislative, and regulatory changes, providing insights and strategic advice to internal teams.
  • Lead engagement with industry bodies, trade associations, and think tanks to shape policy discussions.
  • Prepare high-quality briefings, consultation responses, and position papers to support lobbying efforts.
  • Represent the organisation at meetings, conferences, and public forums to influence discussions.
  • Manage public affairs campaigns that enhance awareness of key issues within the built environment sector.
  • Work collaboratively with communications, policy, and marketing teams to align messaging and engagement strategies.
About You:
  • Proven experience in public affairs, government relations, or policy within the built environment, infrastructure, housing, sustainability, or related sectors.
  • Strong understanding of political and legislative processes, with a good track-record of influencing policy.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to interpret complex policy issues and translate them into practical strategies.
  • Experience in managing advocacy campaigns, consultations, and engagement initiatives.
  • Strong writing and presentation skills, with experience drafting policy papers, reports, and briefings.
  • A proactive, strategic thinker with a passion for the built environment, sustainability, and social impact.
