I'm currently working with a client within the UK water sector that is looking to hire a Principle Civil Engineer at design level. This is a hands-on engineering design role focused on water and wastewater treatment projects, supporting the delivery of cost-effective and buildable technical solutions within a multi-disciplinary environment.
Responsibilities:
- Producing and developing civil engineering design layouts for water/wastewater infrastructure
- Working closely with other disciplines including MEICA and process teams
- Ensuring designs meet technical standards, safety requirements, and constructability expectations
- Supporting project delivery from concept through to detailed design
Desirable Qualifications:
- 8–10 year(s) experience within the UK water sector
- Experience in civil design within water and sewage treatment
- A strong understanding of plant layout and infrastructure design
- The ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary engineering environment
- Degree in Engineering, chartered or equivalent
Offer:
- Contract – 12 months rolling
- Rate – £550 per day (Inside IR35)
- Location – Derby
- Working arrangement: 3 days per week for the first 3 months – then relaxed to 2 days per week
