Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated Field Engineer to support the delivery of water and environmental treatment solutions across a range of sites throughout the UK. This role involves the installation, commissioning, servicing, and maintenance of specialist mechanical and electrical equipment used in water and wastewater treatment applications.

You will play a critical role in ensuring systems are deployed and maintained to high operational standards, supporting clients both technically and professionally in the field.

Location: Lower Severn Trent Region - various sites

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and commission water treatment and environmental systems across client sites
  • Perform scheduled and reactive maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues
  • Conduct site assessments, performance checks, and ensure compliance with health and safety standards
  • Provide technical support and operational guidance to client site personnel
  • Maintain accurate service records and contribute to process and performance improvements
  • Ensure stock, tools, and spare parts are managed effectively for on-site work

Requirements:

Essential:

  • Qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Environmental Engineering (HNC/HND or Degree level)
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar field or site-based engineering role
  • Sound knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently

Desirable:

  • Experience in water or wastewater treatment, construction, or utilities environments
  • Health & safety certifications (e.g., CSCS card, SSSTS, IOSH)
  • Confined space, manual handling, or water hygiene certifications is beneficial
