About the Role: We are seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Technical Sales Engineer to join our team in the wastewater treatment sector. The ideal candidate will combine deep technical knowledge with excellent sales acumen to provide solutions that meet our clients' operational and regulatory needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales & Business Development
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within the municipal, industrial, and commercial wastewater markets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with consultants, contractors, utilities, and end-users.
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations.
- Technical Support
- Understand customer needs and translate them into technical solutions using our product and service offerings.
- Provide pre and post sales technical support, including site assessments, system sizing, and troubleshooting.
- Assist with tender submissions and bid documentation.
- Project Management
- Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and operations teams to ensure successful project execution.
- Oversee the technical delivery of wastewater treatment systems, ensuring compliance with specifications and timelines.
- Market Intelligence
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and regulatory changes.
- Provide feedback to product development and marketing teams based on customer and market insights.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in technical sales, preferably in the wastewater treatment or water technology sector.
- Strong understanding of wastewater treatment processes (e.g., MBR, SBR, DAF, anaerobic digestion, etc.).
- Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to travel to client sites, trade shows, and technical conferences.
- UK Drivers Licence.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with relevant environmental regulations and standards.
- Experience working with public utilities and industrial clients.
- CAD, CRM systems, and proposal-writing skills are a plus.
