Senior Firmware Engineer

Full-Time No home office possible

Murray McIntosh are currently seeking a Principal Firmware Engineer to work for a client of ours on a permanent basis as detailed below:

Realising product specification through embedded firmware
Create firmware requirement specifications and design documentation
Contribute to the continued improvement of the embedded development processes to ensure continuous enhancement of the team and our processes
Contribute to definition of work, approach and architectural solutions
Own quality of your out put ensuring appropriate levels of quality
Maintain and update existing firmware addressing defects and implementing enhancements
Run and participate in design reviews, creation of reports and associate documentation
Collaborate with validation tea to increase understanding and reduce development iterations
Ensure product compliance to ISO9001.

Expert in the use of C & C++
Experience of programming on real time operating systems
Knowledge of STM32 and FreeRTOS
Keil IDE, MPLAB for STM32 (advantageous)
Experience developing products in highly regulated industries
Experience of developing firmware for low power safety critical devices
Knowledge of TFT LCD display control drivers and GUI development
Familiarity with RF technologies such as BLE, LoRa, Zigbee etc would be advantageous
