Are you an experienced Industrial Electrician or Maintenance Electrician looking for long-term contract work locally to Bristol? We are recruiting skilled Industrial Electricians (18th Edition / JIB) to work on a major water treatment plant. This is a long-term contract opportunity offering up to 50 hours per week, overtime potential and security of work for up to 5 years.

This role is suited to contractors with strong industrial experience who are comfortable working in live process environments.

The Role - Industrial Electrician (Contract)

As an Industrial Electrician, you will carry out installation, maintenance and fault-finding work across plant equipment within a busy water treatment facility.

  • Electrical installation of pumps, motors, MCCs and control panels
  • SWA cabling, terminating and glanding
  • Containment, tray and ladder rack installation
  • Industrial fault finding and breakdown response
  • Planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
  • Testing and inspection in line with 18th Edition
  • Working from electrical drawings and schematics

This is heavy industrial electrical work within a utilities environment - not domestic or commercial. We can only consider experience in water, nuclear, offshore, power station, oil, gas and rail.

Requirements:
  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
  • ECS / JIB Gold Card
  • Proven experience as an Industrial or Maintenance Electrician
  • Strong industrial fault-finding experience
  • Experience within water treatment, wastewater, utilities, manufacturing or heavy industry
  • Full UK driving licence
  • 2391 Testing & Inspection
  • Experience with pumps, motors and PLC-controlled systems
  • Previous water or sewage treatment site experience
  • Applicants must have demonstrable industrial experience.

£28 - £30 per hour (DOE) ~ Overtime available ~ Long-term contract (up to 5 years) ~ Stable infrastructure project.
