Murray City Recreation has openings available for responsible, mature, team players to join our staff. Positions include recreation staff, sports officials, and recreation supervisors. Part-time with no benefits.

PAY RATE

  • Recreation Staff & Sports Officials: $12 - $14 per hour
  • Recreation Supervisors: $16 - $19 per hour

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES - RECREATION STAFF & SPORTS OFFICIALS

  • Responsible for care, condition, and use of materials, equipment, tools, etc.
  • Demonstrates strong leadership skills, makes decisions, follows instructions.
  • Officiates and effectively communicates rules.
  • Assists with field and/or court set-up and take-down.
  • Reports any problems with coaches, participants, parents, or spectators to Recreation Coordinator.
  • Ensures safety of staff, participants, and citizens.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - RECREATION STAFF & SPORTS OFFICIALS

  • At least 14 years of age.
  • Able to work with youth ages 3 to 18.
  • Some knowledge and/or experience with soccer, flag football, and basketball preferred (training provided).

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS - RECREATION STAFF & SPORTS OFFICIALS

  • Must be available evenings and weekends.
  • First aid/CPR and AED training helpful but not required.
