We are currently seeking an experienced Paralegal to join our Executry team. In this role, you will independently manage a caseload of executry files, working proactively within a team of dedicated Executry Paralegals. The successful candidate will handle both testate and intestate estates from the initial client meeting through to finalisation, delivering a high standard of service throughout.
You should have a solid understanding of inheritance tax, including relevant exemptions and reliefs, and be confident in preparing inheritance tax calculations and executry accounts.
Our ideal candidate will have relevant formal qualification(s), preferably as recognised by the Law Society of Scotland Accredited Paralegal scheme and at least 5 years’ experience dealing with executries. We are looking for a candidate with excellent interpersonal skills, both written and oral, good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks.
In return, we can offer a competitive salary based on skills and experience, 25 days holiday plus 8 public holidays per year, increasing with length of service, non-contributory life cover from the onset of employment and critical illness cover after 1 year.
