Murphy is recruiting for a Digital Coordinator to join our applied engineering team, this role will be based out of our Warrington office. This role is specifically focused on supporting Infrastructure with a focus on water projects across the Northwest.
Our engineering teams represent a multi-disciplined range of engineering skills, adding value across all our sectors, and pushing the boundaries of digital construction, engineering innovation and design to deliver intelligent, sustainable and economical engineering solutions.
Under the banner of Murphy Applied Engineering, our in-house teams include civil, structural, mechanical, geotechnical and process engineers. They design both permanent and temporary works for projects in all our locations and are a trusted source of expert advice for both Murphy colleagues and external customers.
A day in the life of a Murphy Digital Coordinator:
- Work as an integral part of the project team supporting the implementation of new Digital Engineering practices identified within the project scope.
- Support group best practice, test, prove and support the implementation of well governed initiatives within the project with respect to authoring, collaboration, validation, and field technology/workflow.
- Support the adoption of the project Common Data Environment and workflows in line with the project information management plan.
- Working with the project teams in establishing a BIM Execution Plan and review regularly with support from the Murphy digital team and project teams.
- Ensure that the teams are adopting the CDE systems and be familiar with our chosen systems such as Aconex, ACC and ProjectWise so administration experience within this area is desirable.
- Knowledgeable with water company processes such as United Utilities and familiar with the standards, specifically with asset data and ProjectWise systems.
- Support the effective implementation of best practice across the project and in line with the Murphy digital engineering practices.
- Act as a point of contact for related digital engineering support on the project.
- Manage and coordinate consultant(s), supplier(s) and sub-contractor(s) digital inputs and deliverables to ensure compliance with the project BEP and client standards.
- Coordination of digital models and facilitate the review meetings to ensure quality and completeness of the deliverables to the client.
- Technical review of consultant and supplier’s proposals against the project BEP.
- Ensuring information management is supported through adoption of MIDP, Model strategy, federated models, and review of models for compliance. Work with the project document control team to support this.
- Capture and share evidence of digital best practice within the project.
