Murphy is recruiting for a Hire Coordinator - Inverness to work with Murphy Plant at our soon to open, new depot in Inverness. Our inventory includes over 15,000 assets, ranging from small tools to piling rigs, alongside our award-winning vehicle fleet which includes one of the UK’s most comprehensive collections of crawler cranes. Our broad range of equipment also includes specialist assets for ground engineering, pipeline testing, tunnelling, rail and more.
You will be responsible for sourcing internal plant equipment on behalf of all projects, or procurement of externally sourced plant and equipment delivering best in class for quality and value. Ensuring maximum utilisation of Murphy Plant and equipment by monitoring externally hired items and exchanging for internal items when they become available. Liaise with external supply chain, maintenance teams and depot managers, build and keep positive relationships and ensure Performance, Quality and Delivery is achieved.
As Hire Coordinator you will manage the hire of Murphy Plant Equipment. A day in the life of a Murphy Hire Coordinator:
- Ensure that best endeavours are made to deliver the right equipment, true to specification requirements, at the right quality on the date that the customer requires.
- Responsible for Procurement of externally sourced plant and equipment, delivering best in class for quality and value.
- Ensuring maximum utilisation of Murphy plant & equipment by monitoring and off hiring externally hired items when Murphy plant items become available.
- Liaise regularly with external supply chain, build and keep positive relationships and ensure best Quality, Performance and Delivery is achieved.
- Provide high quality customer service in all communications with internal and external clients.
- Maintain accurate paper and computer-based records.
- Maintain established paper and computer-based filing systems.
- Conduct financial duties, for example, processing invoices or tracking costs.
- Actively promote and embed Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) in all your work and support and comply with all organisational initiatives, policies and procedures on EDI.
Previous experience working in an office environment with some experience working in a customer facing role. Extensive experience working through telephone communications with a clear and concise phone manner. Good IT skills, knowledge of Microsoft packages ie. Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
