Geospatial Survey Engineering Apprenticeship Programme

Geospatial survey engineers play a critical role in all the world’s most exciting and complex construction projects, applying geospatial expertise to solve real world engineering and environmental challenges. As part of the apprenticeship, you will capture geospatial data by carrying out a site survey to produce accurate digital 2D or 3D drawings, 3D models and data reports. These surveys help de-risk projects by providing essential geospatial data on the features and contours of the land or a building or helping projects by giving them utility services data to avoid services strikes, which could be costly and dangerous. On completion of the programme, you’ll have gained a recognised accreditation, that will offer you the opportunity to build a rewarding and successful career.

The main duties of the role include:

  • Travel to and from site, working in indoor and outdoor environments across a wide range of locations.
  • Use a wide range of technologies to record and capture data.
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders across the business and projects.
  • Work in accordance with established processes.
  • There is a physical manual element to this type of work as part of working with utility services.

What qualification will I receive through the apprenticeship?
