Overview
Civil/ Structural Project Engineer role at Murphy. Location: Murphy St Fergus, Scotland, United Kingdom. The role can be based out of Kentish Town, Cannock, Wigan or St Fergus, working on multiple projects within the Gas Industry, including Terminals and Compressor Stations. Murphy maintains, operates, modifies, designs, constructs and commissions energy networks and facilities across four countries, supporting the energy transition and net zero commitments. Murphy provides safe and reliable specialist services as an EPFCMD partner, including work with onshore and offshore oil, gas pipelines, gas diversions and renewable energies.
We are seeking a Civil/ Structural Project Engineer to join our team and contribute to projects across the gas sector.
Responsibilities
- Provide expertise in Civil / Structural elements within Gas industry projects
- Lead Civil / Structural aspects of multi-discipline projects from concept through to completion
- Assist with the development of the Civil / Structural work scope, delivery strategy and programme
- Assist with the development and review of Civil / Structural designs in accordance with project programme
- Manage installation and Inspection / Testing requirements
- Able to challenge technical specifications
- Develop and manage Inspection and Testing documentation
- Coordinate key stakeholders to achieve successful delivery of various projects
- Attend and lead discipline-specific meetings with key stakeholders and sub-contractors
- Collaborate with supply chain partners’ requirements and incorporate into the project programme
Qualifications
- Good knowledge of Civil, Structures, and Structural Steelwork
- Good knowledge of design, process safety, and procurement
- Ability to manage and coordinate Civil / Structural aspects of large EPC projects
- Preferably relevant Engineering degree qualified, minimum HNC
