Murphy is recruiting for Quantity Surveyors and Senior Quantity Surveyors to work within our Energy sector on several projects based in and around London and the South West.

Today we support groundbreaking transmission and distribution projects in four countries - ensuring their energy security for decades to come.

We offer a wide range of services including design, construction and commissioning. We deliver Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC) projects serving both regulated and private customers along with technical and engineering solutions within the conventional power and energy transition markets.

A day in the life of a Murphy Quantity Surveyor:

  • Assist in the internal commercial reporting and any other reports which may be required.
  • Prepare Valuations/Applications for Payment with full documentation in accordance with the contract.
  • Administration of subcontractor/supplier accounts from the preparation of detailed requisitions, monitoring, and authorisation of subcontract payments through to agreement of final accounts.
  • Undertake the contract administration, including change management and maintain associated registers.
  • Identifying commercial risks, opportunities, value engineering and change.
  • Assist in the preparation of project final accounts.
  • Proven experience within a Commercial role i.e., Assistant Quantity Surveyor, Quantity Surveyor, or a similar role.
