Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Advisor to support our growing UK operations, with a strong focus on rail and infrastructure projects.
In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring compliance with EHS regulations, supporting field teams, and driving a strong safety culture across complex working environments.
Based out of Birmingham, you’ll report to the Group EQH&S Manager and work closely with operational teams across the UK and Europe.
What You Will Do
- Support the implementation and maintenance of EHS policies and management systems (ISO 45001, ISO 14001).
- Provide expert EHS guidance to managers and field‑based survey teams.
- Monitor compliance with UK legislation, industry standards, and codes of practice.
- Conduct site inspections, risk assessments, and review RAMS for high‑risk environments, including rail and infrastructure projects.
- Support incident investigations and promote learning across projects.
- Deliver inductions, toolbox talks, and safety briefings aligned to site‑specific risks.
- Promote a proactive safety culture across mobile and remote teams.
What You Will Bring
- Diploma in Health and Safety, NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent)
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an EHS role.
- Strong knowledge of UK health & safety and environmental legislation.
- Experience working with ISO standards (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001).
- Excellent communication, organisational and analytical skills
- Valid PTS (Personal Track Safety) certification
- Proven experience working within a rail environment (e.g., rail infrastructure, corridors, or projects)
- Hold a full valid driving license without endorsements.
