A key role at a business that keeps production moving. If fixing, maintaining, and improving machinery is your thing, there’s plenty you can get stuck into here. From shredders and conveyors to augers and motors – you’ll be hands-on with all sorts of kit. We support people who love what they do. Looking for a role where your skills really make a difference? Where better than a site that depends on you to keep everything running smoothly?

This permanent role is based upon 40hrs per week, 0600-1400 Monday to Friday with daily overtime available plus Saturday AM 0600-1200 overtime too, based at our facility in Lakenheath.

The Day to Day

Day to day, you’ll be keeping production on track – from carrying out routine checks and emergency fixes to changing blades and keeping our kit running safely. You’ll stay on top of the maintenance plan, step in quickly when breakdowns happen, and work with supervisors to keep everything running smoothly. We’re always looking to get better, so we’ll want your ideas on how to improve things too. As part of a team, the role involves a blend of PPM and Reactive duties, with experience of conveyors, augers and heavy plant machinery very advantageous, approx 70/30 ratio of mechanical/electrical.

Who we’re looking for

You’ll be someone who can roll up your sleeves and get stuck in – confident with a variety of engineering tasks, quick to diagnose problems, and calm under pressure. Team player? Definitely. But also someone who can take the lead and use their initiative when needed. Above all, we’re after a positive, flexible approach and someone we can rely on. Mechanical engineering experience is a must, but if you’ve got electrical skills too – even better (and if not, we’ll train you). A forklift licence would be handy, though again, we can support you with that.

The Perks

  • Life assurance
  • Exclusive discounts at major retailers, restaurants, holidays and much more
  • Generous staff discounts for you and your family
  • Award-winning training and development, with fantastic career prospects
  • Wide range of wellbeing support for you and your family (Employee Assistance Programme)
  • Kwik Fit Club
  • Free MOT
  • Cycle to Work Scheme
