About Murfee AI
Murfee AI provides the foundational, auditable and secure execution layer for Agentic systems. We solve the liability gap in autonomous finance and corporate travel by ensuring deterministic control and verifiable execution. Our core architecture is built, has cleared early institutional engagement, and we are now transitioning from stealth into pilot deployment preparation.
The Role
With the core product established, we are bringing on our first Principal Infrastructure Engineer to take ownership of system reliability, maintenance, and enterprise deployment. This is not a greenfield build. The core protocol is operational and internally validated. Your mandate is taking a high-value system and leading its technical deployment and scale across commercial environments. You will remove single-point founder dependency, maintain production-grade continuity, and act as the senior technical authority during our upcoming client onboarding and bespoke API integrations.
Key Responsibilities
- Production Readiness & Continuity: Take ownership of the existing architecture, optimising for high availability, maintainability, and resilience as transaction volumes scale.
- Enterprise Integration Leadership: Act as the engineering bridge for our early banking and corporate travel partners, guiding external technical teams through pilot deployments and architectural workshops.
- System Observability: Implement robust monitoring and incident-response protocols to protect the integrity of the platform in regulated environments.
- Technical Custodianship: Build and enforce rigorous technical documentation and security standards as external client hooks increase.
What We’re Looking For
- Significant experience in a Senior or Principal Infrastructure Engineering role, managing scalable enterprise products or distributed systems.
- A pragmatic "systems thinker" comfortable operating in an early-stage, high-velocity environment where resources are focused and execution is paramount.
- Proven client-facing technical experience (e.g., Solutions Architecture or API integration leadership).
Location: Based in the Northern UK tech corridor with the willingness and ability to travel regularly to York for close, in-person collaboration with the Founder.
Compensation & Stage
Target compensation package: Equivalent to £85,000–£105,000 following commercial/funding milestones. Initial compensation: Heavily equity-weighted reflecting the company’s current stage, with a highly competitive equity allocation in line with a first principal engineering hire.
