We are looking for an experienced Ecommerce Executive to join our small, fast-paced ecommerce team at a really exciting stage of growth. This is a hands-on role with the opportunity to get involved across almost every area of ecommerce. We have a number of major projects underway, including the launch of our new mobile app, a complete website re-theme, expansion into new marketplaces, loyalty initiatives and focused conversion rate optimisation projects.
If you love ecommerce, enjoy having lots of things happening at once, have great attention to detail and genuinely care about the quality of the work you produce, this could be the perfect role for you. You’ll work closely with the Head of Ecommerce, as well as our merchandising, content, design, warehouse and external development teams, with plenty of opportunity to take ownership and grow with the business.
Salary will be in the region of £35,000 per year, depending on experience. The final job title will be agreed upon a successful job offer and will be either Ecommerce Executive or Senior Ecommerce Executive, depending on the candidate’s level of experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Product creation & enrichment – working closely with merchandising and product teams to ensure customers have as much useful and engaging product information as possible.
- Product page optimisation – working with content and design teams to continually elevate our product pages and showcase the design, fit and details behind each product.
- Visual merchandising – creating and maintaining engaging online experiences tailored to our UK and US markets.
- Marketplace management – managing marketplaces including Macy’s and Nordstrom, from product uploads and optimisation through to SEO, trading and day-to-day relationship management.
- Competitor & UX analysis – regularly reviewing competitor websites and ecommerce experiences, identifying opportunities and implementing improvements.
- Content upload management – briefing, uploading and managing content across multiple storefronts and our mobile app.
- Mobile app – maintaining and optimising our Tapcart-powered app, including content, merchandising and ongoing improvements.
- Website re-theme – supporting the Head Of Ecommerce on the website re-theme project from start to finish, including detailed testing and QA across devices, browsers and markets.
- Development projects – supporting creating clear briefs for our external development agency and managing pre- and post-go-live QA.
- Ecommerce reporting – supporting the Head of Ecommerce with regular KPI reporting, analysis and identifying key trading opportunities.
- Trading initiatives – supporting the Head of Ecommerce with the planning and rollout of trading incentives and promotional activity.
- Merchandising collaboration – working closely with merchandising to identify and prioritise key lines to push, including newness, restocks, best sellers and slow sellers.
- Conversion optimisation – supporting CRO projects, from identifying opportunities through to implementation, testing and measuring results.
- Customer proposition – working with the Head of Ecommerce and Warehouse Manager to identify opportunities to improve the customer experience from a logistics and delivery perspective.
- Shopify optimisation – undertaking an initial clean-up and ongoing management of Shopify metafields, metaobjects, tags and collections to improve site structure and data quality.
- SEO – maintaining strong ecommerce SEO standards across product and collection pages, including page titles, meta descriptions, onsite content and other relevant Shopify SEO fields.
- Site QA & troubleshooting – regularly checking the website and app to identify issues, broken functionality, merchandising errors and opportunities for improvement.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in an ecommerce role, ideally within fashion or a fast-paced retail environment.
- Strong understanding of ecommerce trading and the customer journey.
- Experience working with Shopify is highly desirable.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high standard of accuracy.
- Comfortable managing multiple projects and priorities at the same time.
- Commercially minded, with an understanding of how ecommerce activity impacts conversion, revenue and customer experience.
- Confident working with data and ecommerce KPIs.
- A proactive approach – someone who spots an opportunity or problem and takes ownership of getting it resolved.
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to work across multiple teams and with external agencies.
- A genuine interest in fashion, ecommerce, UX and digital trends.
- Someone who isn't afraid to get stuck in. We're a small team, so everyone plays a key role and no two days are the same.
