At Muntons, we’re looking for a dedicated individual to join our Engineering team at our Bridlington site, where you’ll play a crucial role in maintaining and optimising our plant operations.

The Job: In this role you will be part of the Engineering team responsible for the maintenance and efficient, safe running of our plant. We are looking for a dynamic individual to carry out a range of electrical and mechanical engineering works, including planned maintenance, small projects, installations, and breakdown repairs.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide a dynamic and proactive response to Engineering breakdowns, in order to maximise production and minimise plant downtime.
- Communicate on a daily basis with The Engineering Team leader and Engineering Manager to ensure established priorities are dealt with in a coordinated approach.
- Participate and update all taskings from CMMS Shire system, prioritising tasks, breakdowns and preventative maintenance tasks.
- Work flexibly and respond to the changing demands of the work, adapting to new work routines and practices accordingly.
- Take part in a call-out rota to ensure that an efficient out of hours breakdown service is maintained.
- Act as support/guidance to Shift operators performing Germination Vessel service checks after each unload.
- Carry out general day to day repairs within skillset and training.
- Carry out plant modifications and ensure plant is properly lubricated.
- Participate in all aspects of maintenance work associated with the annual plant shutdowns in the Grain Intake and Malting plants.
- Undertake planned maintenance routines as guided by the Engineering Manager/Team leader.
- Ensure all tools and equipment are removed from the food processing areas when completing tasks.
- Ensure the engineering workshop is tidy and maintains a good standard of housekeeping.
- Ensure spills are controlled and kept to a minimum.
- Respond to our on-site customers' requests, providing updates via email & Shire system.
- Keep up to date on tasks and include all information work done when updating Shire CMMS.
- Submit accurate descriptions of spare parts requested.
