Are you ready to take on a vital role in ensuring timely and in‑specification bulk despatches at one of the industry’s leading malt production sites? We’re looking for dedicated individuals to join our maltings team at our Stowmarket site, where you’ll play a crucial role in operating plant and equipment, maintaining hygiene, and coordinating bulk discharges.

What You’ll Be Doing
In this role you will operate the plant and equipment used for malt despatch and malt movements while working in compliance with company policy on health & safety, food safety, environmental issues, and other relevant standards. You will also be responsible for maintaining plant hygiene levels, records and cleaning schedules.
- Carry out the transfer of malt between silos.
- Carry out all necessary checks and quality procedures to ensure the suitability of shipping containers and vehicles for the loading of malt.
- Fill multiple 20’ and/or 40’ shipping containers with malt for overseas customers.
- Fill bulk vehicles with malt for shipment to UK customers.
- Carry out plant cleaning as detailed in hygiene schedules or as requested.
- Assist in ensuring continued compliance with current standards and work with the team towards the achievement of any new standard required.
- Assist other departments as requested.
