A great opportunity exists for an enthusiastic individual to work as part of the Materials Team (Goods In, Despatch, Lineside).
Duties and Responsibilities Include the Following:
- Operate various company vehicles, equipment and tools according to instructions and complete training as required.
- Clearly follow reporting and record keeping procedures.
- Comply with all health and safety regulations.
- Clean and maintain equipment and work areas to the expected level for safety and efficiency.
- Perform stock and quality control checks ensuring adequate levels are available as business requires.
- Help investigate stock check variations, achieve and maintain stock accuracy as per department targets.
- Ensuring efficient operations by adhering to operational procedures, rules and schedules.
- Storing and rotating stock according to established procedures.
- Ensuring that all goods that are loaded or unloaded match the relevant paperwork.
- Help the team achieve and maintain 5S and department governance targets for line side and warehouse.
Essential Requirements:
- Good standard of general education (GCSE level or equivalent).
- Have the ability to complete forklift training required for the role.
- Experience of using IT systems.
Desirable Requirements:
- Current forklift qualification, Counterbalance/Reach/Man-up.
- Experience in a manufacturing/warehouse environment.
Skills: Warehousing, despatch, goods in, Forklift Operator, teamwork, stock control, communication skills.
