ABOUT THE JOB
Assembly of plastic and metal components in the manufacture and test of pumps, taps, heaters and other water system products for use in Caravans/Boats/Shower Drainage & the Commercial market-place. WE ARE LOOKING FOR
The ideal candidates will be strong team players, who take pride in producing high quality work, are dependable and can work using their own initiative. Although these vacancies are temporary (approx. 3 months each time), there is the possibility that they may be extended and lead to permanent positions after 9 months depending on business levels. We will also be compiling a list for future vacancies throughout 2026.
DUTIES TO INCLUDE:
- Production Operators after training will be required to assemble products to the correct quality standard within agreed time scales, i.e. meet efficiency targets.
- The building of product will require the use of hand tools, including pneumatic and electrical torque guns, which the Production Operator will be trained to use.
- The Production Operator will be required to work to Standard Operating Procedures and to follow the production system and method within production cells, and where necessary, record information required for Quality Control Procedures.
- Ensure all Health & Safety procedures and systems are followed correctly within Production including the wearing of PPE provided.
- It is also the responsibility of the production operator to report all incidents & accidents to their Team Leader or a member of the Health & Safety Committee.
- Ensure good housekeeping practices within the production area including overall cleanliness with a view to having the facility fit for inspection at any time.
- You may, on request, be required to work overtime at short notice to assist and help meet the demands of a dynamic business.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Good standard of general education to GCSE level or equivalent.
- Must have 6 months experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
- Be able to communicate and work in a team.
- Reliable and be able to work the two shift patterns below.
HOURS OF WORK
- 42 hrs per week (Jan-June) 8.00 a.m. - 5.45 p.m. Monday - Thursday, 8.00 a.m. - 1.00 p.m. Friday.
- 36 hrs per week (Jul-Dec) 8.00 a.m. - 5.30 p.m. Monday - Thursday.
