Munro Access are looking for a skilled and reliable Experienced Roofer to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in roofing who takes pride in high-quality workmanship, works well within a team, and can confidently carry out a wide range of roofing tasks across different building types.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain roofs on residential and commercial buildings
- Carry out roofing works to a high standard, including slating, tiling, and leadwork
- Remove old roofing materials and prepare surfaces for new installations
- Measure, cut, and fit roofing materials to precise specifications
- Install or replace flashing, vents, and other roof fixtures
- Inspect roofs for damage, identify issues, and carry out effective repairs
- Ensure all roofs are properly sealed and waterproofed
- Work safely and efficiently in line with company procedures and health & safety regulations, particularly when working at height
- Communicate clearly with team members, supervisors, and the public when required
- Support and mentor less experienced team members when needed
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe, clean, and organised condition
Essential Skills & Experience
- Minimum 4 years' proven experience in roofing (slating, tiling, and leadwork essential)
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve roofing issues
- Experience working at height and following safety protocols
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and handle roofing materials
- Proficiency in using hand tools (hammers, saws, drills) and power tools (nail guns, power saws)
- Knowledge of fabricating and installing roofing materials
- Basic masonry knowledge for chimney repairs or flashing installations
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Good communication skills
- Full, valid driver's licence
