Guardior is a leading provider of comprehensive security, surveillance, and logistics solutions, dedicated to safeguarding people, property, and assets across the UK. Due to winning a large contract at Heathrow Airport, Guardior is now looking for a Senior Logistics Manager, Monday-Friday with overtime available.
The Senior Logistics Manager will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the logistics operations on the construction programme, ensuring that all activities are executed efficiently and in compliance with the project's scope of works. This role requires a proactive approach to managing resources, staff, and client interactions to support the successful delivery of construction projects.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure all site activities are managed effectively as outlined within the scope of works which includes coordinating tasks, managing timelines, and ensuring that all operations align with project goals.
- Log in and out on the client's SACS system or similar platforms to maintain accurate records of site activities and personnel movements.
- Ensure all staff are working safely by adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Maintain a daily diary to record site activities, issues, and progress.
- Conduct weekly Toolbox talks to educate and inform staff about safety practices, project updates, and any changes in procedures.
- Ensure that orders for materials are placed in a timely manner to prevent any disruptions in the workflow.
- Off-hire any equipment that is no longer required to optimize resource utilization and reduce costs.
- Keep safety managers informed of any changes to site conditions or processes that may impact health and safety protocols.
- Complete RAMS in accordance with current legislation to ensure all potential risks are identified and mitigated.
- Attend and host where required all site-based meetings to represent Guardior professionally. Provide updates on logistics operations and collaborate with other stakeholders to address any issues.
- Ensure all client systems (e.g., Vislean, Optimise, Yellow Jacket, Datascope, Data Touch) are updated within agreed timescales to maintain accurate project records.
- Investigate any health and safety issues promptly and report findings to the Contracts Manager and H&S Manager for further action.
- If a site vehicle is part of the scope of works, ensure it is checked daily for roadworthiness and cleanliness. Address any maintenance needs immediately.
- Assist the Contracts Manager and Commercial Manager in preparing monthly Applications for Payment (AFP), ensuring accurate financial documentation is submitted on time.
- Aviation Construction Logistics Experience
- NVQ Level 6 or above in Senior Construction Management (or above) with relevant Black CSCS skills card.
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Effective communication skills for liaising with clients, staff, and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in using logistics management software and client systems.
- Ability to work independently and make informed decisions under pressure.
- Valid manual driving licence if required for site vehicle management.
