This role supports the Operations Director in managing logistics activity across the business, acting as a central point of coordination between site teams, project teams, clients, and head office functions. You will play a key role in ensuring smooth communication, effective resource coordination, operational problem-solving, and the successful delivery of logistics services across all projects. The role also involves supporting process improvement initiatives, maintaining accurate operational data, and helping drive consistent standards across the business.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:- Logistics Planning & Coordination
- Support planning and coordination of logistics across multiple projects
- Coordinate labour, plant, transport, materials, and other resources
- Monitor site requirements to ensure alignment with programme and client needs
- Support mobilisation and demobilisation activities
- Assist in resolving day-to-day operational issues
- Identify risks and support effective solutions
- Act as a key link between site teams, project teams, logistics, and head office
- Coordinate communication across HR, finance, commercial, plant, and compliance teams
- Manage operational updates, actions, and escalations
- Ensure timely and accurate flow of operational information
- Build strong relationships across all stakeholders
- Provide day-to-day support to Logistics Managers and site teams
- Resolve issues relating to labour, materials, plant, transport, and access
- Support management of operational disruptions
- Escalate and track critical issues through to resolution
- Support delivery during high-demand periods
- Support implementation of operational initiatives and improvements
- Help standardise processes across logistics operations
- Monitor effectiveness of new systems and ways of working
- Drive consistency across projects and teams
- Maintain accurate operational records, trackers, and schedules
- Produce reports on performance, labour usage, and logistics activity
- Monitor KPIs and operational trends
- Support data-driven planning and decision-making
- Support client and stakeholder communication where required
- Assist in ensuring operational commitments are delivered
- Support meetings, briefings, and coordination activities
- Promote a professional and solutions-focused approach
- Promote a strong health & safety culture
- Ensure compliance with legislation, company policies, and client standards
- Identify risks and support mitigation actions
- Background in logistics, operations, construction, or similar fast-paced environment
- Experience coordinating multiple projects and resources
- Experience working with site teams and supporting operational delivery
- Experience producing reports and operational data
- Strong organisation and coordination skills
