Key Responsibilities
- Support the identification of new business opportunities across all associated sectors.
- Develop a strong understanding of Severn Partnership’s service offerings (including topographical, utility, mobile mapping, measured building surveys, monitoring, BIM, 3D laser scanning).
- Generate and qualify leads through networking, outbound activity, market research, and attending industry events.
- Support the full sales process and customer journey with new and existing clients.
- Work closely with the commercial team to achieve KPIs while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Identify appointment opportunities, schedule and attend client meetings for existing, lapsed, and new customers.
- Attend meetings face to face and online to discuss client needs and provide solutions to support projects.
- Build and maintain long‑term relationships with key clients, consultants and project stakeholders.
- Represent Severn Partnership at industry events, exhibitions, and networking forums and other events.
- Update and maintain CRM records to ensure accurate monitoring of pipelines and forecasts.
- Work closely with the Business Development Manager, operational team and marketing to support business development strategies.
- Support the process and monitoring of opportunities.
- Contribute to Business Development meetings and discuss the previous month’s performance and key developments.
- Work alongside the Business Development Manager to present teams work winning opportunities to the group SLT.
Person Specification
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to quickly understand surveying services and communicate value clearly to clients.
- Self‑driven, results‑focused, and confident working independently.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple opportunities and tasks simultaneously.
- Experience in business development, sales, and/or client‑facing roles.
- Knowledge of survey methodologies and experience within the industry.
- Existing network within our strategic sectors such as rail, highways, aviation, infrastructure.
- Full UK driving licence.
