Benefits: Rate of pay between £66,048 and £77,259 depending on qualifications and experience. 35 hours per week. Typical hours are Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. Responsibilities: Performs required ice maintenance such as ice resurfacing, edging, ice depth checks and other ice maintenance tasks following departmental procedures and ORFA best practices. Assists with ice making, painting and ice removal. Conducts required refrigeration plant readings, documentation and assists with regular plant maintenance. Assists in maintaining the Centennial Park Pool. Performs maintenance of parkland, sports fields, trails and ball diamonds. Operates lawn mowers, tractors, weed trimmers, blowers, chainsaw and brush chippers. Assists with horticultural duties as assigned. Repairs and maintains all related equipment. Assists with turf maintenance and repair. Provides positive and professional customer service to facility patrons and organizations.

Qualifications: Successfully completed O.S.S.D. (grade 12) or equivalent required. Possess or willingness to obtain professional development courses, workshops, certificates or designations from provincially recognized associations such as Ontario Recreation Facilities Association, Parks Recreation Ontario and Ontario Parks Association is an asset. Related experience in recreation in a municipal environment with knowledge of facilities, arenas, pools, parks, sports fields, trails, related equipment and operations is an asset. Ability to work with limited supervision. Superior customer service skills. Possess or willingness to obtain a valid Basic Refrigeration Certificate. Possess or willingness to obtain Chainsaw Operators Certificate. Possess or willingness to obtain Safe Propane Handling Certification. Possess or willingness to obtain Working at Heights Certification. Possess or willingness to obtain a valid NSPF ® Certified Pool/Spa Operator ® Certificate. Possess a valid First Aid/CPR/AED Certificate. Possess a valid Class “G” Driver’s License in good standing.

Benefits: Hourly rate between £25.77 and £30.14 depending on qualifications and experience. Hours for April through October – up to 40 hours per week. Hours for November through March – approximately 24 to 32 hours per week. Candidate must be available to work variable shifts including early mornings, evenings and weekends. Supply/Casual Teacher (RECE or Non‑RECE) Responsibilities: Teaches gross motor skills, dramatic play, use of senses and science. Supervises children in a variety of settings such as outdoors, in the classroom and in the sleep room. Encourages children to participate, play cooperatively, problem solve, share and learn about safety. Integrates separate individual programs for special needs children into the regular program. Assists with planning and organizing special events, field trips and parties. Assists children with hygiene activities. Responds to telephone enquiries, gives out information and takes messages. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Early Childhood Education Diploma or equivalency is considered an asset. Registered member of the College of ECE is considered an asset. Experience in the child care field. Good communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to follow direction and work independently. Valid First Aid/CPR. Clear Vulnerable Sector Check.

Hours of Work: Flexible schedule including early mornings and day shifts with no guarantee of hours, subject to Centre demands. Brockton Child Care Centre is open Monday to Friday from 6:30 am to 6:00 pm.

Location: Brockton Child Care Centre – 81 Cemetery Road, Walkerton.

Benefits: Casual/Part‑time hours. Compensation range Non‑ECE – £19.50 to £20.50 per hour + potential for Pay Equity and £2 per hour Wage Enhancement Grant. Compensation range Registered ECE – £22.85 to £23.85 per hour + potential for Pay Equity and £2 per hour Wage Enhancement Grant. Eligible to enroll in OMERS pension plan.
