Graduate Engineer with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in pressure vessels/boilers manufacturing companies. Qualified as Authorized Inspector with AI Commission from National Board. Monitors Fabricator, Installer, or Repairer’s Quality Control Program to determine adherence to that system and in turn to ASME or NBIC requirements.
Reviews and approves/rejects procedures and personnel qualifications for welding and nondestructive examination. Verifies through a review of documentation, witnessing of inspections and tests, and certification that items inspected comply with ASME Code or NBIC requirements. Reviews and approves/rejects specifications, calculations, and drawings for each item inspected to assure Code compliance.
Maintains a bound diary of inspection activities in order to document inspections performed and to show the status of items, for use as necessary by replacement inspectors, and to National Board. Interfaces with client’s personnel in a professional manner to develop and maintain good working relationships.
Generates weekly reports to apprise the company of expenses, hours worked, and production progress in accordance with written instructions and policies. Approves revisions to Fabricator, Installer or Repairer’s Quality Control manual and participates in ASME, National Board, or Jurisdictional Joint Reviews.
Required Qualifications:- Mechanical Engineering degree
- Minimum 3 years job experience as an AI
- Good customer focus and commercially minded
- Master Degree in Engineering Discipline
- Experience as a designer and auditor as well as ANI, AIS, ANIS, R, IA designations
- English proficiency as well as other languages
- Experience in PED, TPI & Nuclear
