We are looking to employ a PMO Analyst to be based in the London Office on a full-time basis. We offer hybrid working with 2-3 days per week in the office. As an experienced PMO Analyst you will support the delivery of projects within a strategic transformation programme (e.g. Europe Expansion; Strategic Platform). You should have experience of working to support project delivery within a large programme of change. The candidate needs to be able to support Project Managers / Programme PMO with minimum guidance and cover the full spectrum of PMO duties, working closely with Project Managers to challenge and make recommendations.
Responsibilities
- Support the Project Manager(s) and Programme PMO in day-to-day project management activities including but not limited to reporting, change control, planning, RAIDs management.
- Creation and maintenance of resource demand forecast, liaising with resource managers to secure the appropriate resources, and keeping these aligned and up to date in GoldMine (in-house project portfolio management tool).
- Organisation and coordination of cross-Programme tasks/actions to provide “bandwidth” to the Programme Manager / Programme PMO.
- Compliance with organisational standards (e.g. project management framework).
- Support assurance reviews, providing required artefacts and liaising with relevant parties.
- Developing project artefacts e.g. Project Initiation Document (PID), Project Status Reports, Project Plans, Change Requests, etc.
- Assist in the implementation of a governance process for the structuring, development, review, approval and filing of key project deliverables ensuring good quality and best practice is embedded throughout.
- Prepare and deliver project status reporting so that all relevant stakeholders receive concise, accurate & timely reporting appropriate to their needs; and so that key information and decisions are shared at the appropriate level.
- Develop and maintain project schedule(s) (plan(s)), covering work breakdown structure; validated resource allocation, critical path, etc.
- Contribute project information and regular status updates to information packs for Programme Governance meetings, creating effective and professional presentations for various meetings, organise meetings, deputising for the Project Manager as required, documenting decisions and actions of project meetings.
- General communication to the Programme as required.
- Conduct reviews at appropriate intervals to capture and make use of knowledge created delivering projects.
- Support the project teams’ usage of tools, and manage software application licenses.
- SharePoint administration.
- Manage the Project Change Control process in respect of changes to baselined project plans; present Change Requests to the Programme Steering Committee for approval; re-baseline project plan(s) as and when necessary.
Knowledge and Skills

- Ability to follow leadership but also to operate with autonomy and make judgment calls.
- Strong coordination and organisational skills to lead with autonomy tasks delegated from the Programme PMO / Project Manager.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to manage and communicate with senior stakeholders.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Proactive rather than reactive attitude, being able to anticipate Programme-wide risks and help the Programme PMO in addressing them.
- Extensive experience in project delivery, in a PMO and/or project manager capacity.
Ideally:
- Experience in an Insurance environment, ideally Specialty but General Insurance acceptable.
- Experience of entry into new markets, and launching products into those new markets (Europe Expansion).
- Experience of cross-functional product development across people, process, and technology (Europe Expansion).
