We are looking for a Graduate Financial Accountant to join our London office on a full-time basis with hybrid working. As a Graduate Financial Accountant, you will join our Finance team and support the preparation of financial statements, regulatory submissions, and internal reporting. This is a hands-on role offering exposure to the full financial accounting cycle within a dynamic insurance environment.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements under UK GAAP and IFRS
- Support the reconciliation of general ledger accounts and sub-ledgers
- Help ensure compliance with Lloyd's and FCA regulatory requirements
- Participate in internal and external audits
- Contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives
- Collaborate with actuarial, underwriting, and claims teams to ensure accurate financial data
- A recent graduate (or final-year student) in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a numerate discipline
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving
- Excellent Excel skills; familiarity with accounting systems is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A genuine interest in financial reporting and the insurance industry
- Commitment to pursuing a professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA)
