As a Test Specialist, you will conduct the content-related detailed design and execution of non-functional, data, and functional tests to ensure high-quality design and implementation of software solutions.
Responsibilities- Oversee data and software testers, including offshore resources.
- Ensure testing team has the tools/access required.
- Ensure assigned work is completed as scheduled.
- Review test cases/results and ensure coverage of the established test strategy.
- Be the contact for all testing within program business: works directly with project manager and agile team.
- Produce test strategy and test evaluation reports.
- Test case execution and assessment.
- Assign and follow up on tickets assigned to other data testers.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and operationalize solutions for the same.
- Follow established guidelines and processes for project methodologies – MR Essentials and ensure compliance with necessary IT controls.
- University degree, preferably in Computer Science, data, or similar field.
- 3+ years of testing experience in software and/or data projects.
- Financial services industry experience required. Insurance knowledge is an asset.
- Experience creating traceability matrix mapping Test Scenarios/Test Cases with requirements.
- Experience in using test management tools such as Quality Center, VSTS.
- Excellent working knowledge in Test Plan, Test Strategy, Test Estimates, and Test Case design.
- Strong in writing SQL queries and SQL Analytical Functions. Experience with PowerBI or similar is an asset.
- Preferably, you are already ITIL or ISTQB certified or have the readiness to pursue one with our support.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, agile project environment.
