Responsibilities

  • Help drive forward good Conduct for the business to deliver the best outcomes for customers / policyholders.
  • Lead the implementation and digitalization agenda for MR Syndicate (MRSL) in a cross-functional team of architects from business and technology.
  • Create the design of Munich Re´s pillars for Data Governance, Metadata Management, MDM, Data Quality, Data Warehousing, Sourcing and Staging of data, BI, Advanced Analytics and R&D in close alignment with business functions and enterprise Information management.
  • Manage the Information Management framework, architecture, processes, and solutions.
  • Be responsible for strategic roadmaps that describe the journey to target state for all Data & Analytics domains.
  • Responsible for implementation of the data quality strategy.
  • Review third parties’ high-level designs and implementations to ensure quality, coherence and consistency with MR Specialty and Enterprise Data architecture.
  • Deliver standards and patterns, controls on how Munich RE would like to deploy services in a standard and repeatable way.

Knowledge and Skills

  • University degree preferably in Computer engineering / IT or similar qualification.
  • 5+ years of experience in hands‑on design, engineering, administration, and implementation of comprehensive systems and architectures in an insurance enterprise are preferred.
  • Understanding and knowledge of system development life cycle methodologies (such as agile software development, rapid prototyping, incremental, synchronize and stabilize, and DevOps).
  • Ability to estimate the financial impact of technology alternatives in terms of benefit and cost.
  • Ability to quickly comprehend the functions and capabilities of existing, new and emerging technologies that enable and drive new business designs and models.
  • Preferably, you are already ITIL or IBCS certified or have the readiness to pursue one with our support.
  • Excellent collaboration and communications skills to deal with senior leaders, stakeholders and executives and to build and nurture business relationships.
  • Flexibility and bringing a curious and creative mindset, open to new things and able to propose innovative ideas.
