The Marketing Business Partner will support the strategic ambitions of Munich Re Specialty – Global Markets (MRS-GM), with the objective of deepening client relationships, strengthening market positioning, and delivering measurable business growth. This role is responsible for translating business strategy into integrated marketing approaches, driving prioritisation, execution and performance of marketing activities. Working closely with senior stakeholders, underwriters, and global marketing teams, the role ensures that all marketing initiatives are focused, insight-driven and outcome-oriented, contributing directly to commercial objectives and return on investment.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Marketing & Business Partnering
    • Act as a trusted advisor to senior business stakeholders, challenging and refining marketing needs.
    • Translate business strategies into clear, integrated marketing plans and go-to-market approaches.
    • Drive prioritisation of marketing initiatives based on business impact and strategic relevance.
    • Ensure strong alignment between business priorities and global marketing strategy.
  • Marketing Planning & Execution
    • Lead the end-to-end development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns.
    • Define target audiences, value propositions and messaging in collaboration with stakeholders.
    • Ensure effective and consistent use of marketing channels.
    • Coordinate internal and external resources to deliver high-quality outputs on time and within budget.
    • Oversee campaign planning, distribution and execution excellence.
  • Performance Management & ROI
    • Define and track relevant KPIs linked to business outcomes.
    • Ensure all marketing activities are measured, analysed and optimised.
    • Conduct regular performance reviews and optimisation cycles (incl. underperformance handling).
    • Demonstrate clear ROI and contribution to business performance.
  • Stakeholder Management & Collaboration
    • Work closely with underwriters, business leaders and project teams.
    • Represent business needs within global marketing and communications collaboration.
    • Facilitate alignment across functions and ensure transparency on priorities and performance.
    • Strengthen collaboration with Global Communications to leverage best practices and synergies.
  • Digital & Innovation
    • Drive the use of digital marketing tools, CRM systems and marketing automation.
    • Leverage data, analytics and emerging technologies (incl. AI) to improve effectiveness.
    • Identify and implement innovative marketing approaches to enhance market impact.

Knowledge And Skills

  • Extensive marketing experience in (re)insurance, financial services, or other related fields.
  • Strong strategic marketing and business acumen.
  • Proven ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders.
  • Experience in developing and executing integrated marketing strategies.
  • Strong analytical and performance-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to manage complex projects and multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills.
  • Strong collaboration and cross‑functional leadership capability.
  • Experience working in matrix organisations.
  • Digital marketing knowledge (incl. CRM, data analytics, automation tools).
  • Vendor and agency management experience.
