At Munich Re Specialty – Global Markets (MRS‑GM), we aim to become the leading Primary Specialty Insurance provider. This role drives good industry practices in the identification, assessment and management of non‑financial risks and controls across MRSGM.
Responsibilities
- Lead implementation of the Non‑Financial Risk framework aligned with the ERM, strategic objectives, group and regulatory requirements, including tools such as the GRC system.
- Ensure non‑financial risk exposures and controls are monitored, reported and compliant with Munich Re, PRA, FCA and Lloyd’s.
- Provide timely risk management support, challenge, and opinions on strategic developments, change initiatives, and new products.
- Support development and embedding of risk appetite, emerging risk assessments and scenario analysis activities.
- Report on aggregate non‑financial risk profile to the Risk Committee and Board.
- Escalate high‑priority issues to the Head of ERM and liaise with the FCA, Lloyd’s, GSI and other parties.
- Collaborate with Legal, Risk UK market preferred; Lloyd’s of London experience desirable.
- Comprehensive understanding of current risk‑management environment.
- Strong stakeholder management, flexibility and change mindset.
- Excellent report‑writing and presentation skills for board‑level review.
- Attention to detail, diligence, initiative, strong management and organisational skills.
- University degree and/or relevant professional qualification.
