The Role

This is a chance to make a real and positive impact on people’s lives as they recover from homelessness. You will be responsible for improving our housing stock quality, delivering responsive and planned maintenance, reducing carbon emissions, and ensuring our properties are safe, well-maintained, and compliant with PAS 2035 and relevant standards. You will work with the Senior Project Manager in ensuring refurbishment/retrofit programmes meet quality and regulatory requirements, and will prepare budgets, forecasts, and programme schedules, and oversee the design, procurement, and delivery of refurbishment/retrofit projects. We support a flexible approach to work with opportunities for agile working for the rest of your week; from home, or other St Mungo’s London or regional locations.

About you

You will be suitably qualified (RIBA, RICS or CIOB) or offer equivalent experience, with proven experience of managing complex reinvestment and retrofit programmes and substantial budgets, ideally within a social housing or local authority setting. Experience of conducting financial appraisals and risk management and driving transformational change is essential. You will also require experience of design development and environmental standards. Strong project management skills developed through experience, and/or project management qualifications (e.g., PRINCE2, APM, PMP) are also essential. Above all, you will be passionate about enhancing Decent Homes Standards for the people who urgently need St Mungo’s help.
