The Senior Reward Analyst provides specialised expertise to design, analyse, and optimise compensation, benefits, and recognition programmes, applying advanced analytical methods to deliver accurate, evidence‑based recommendations that support organisational decision‑making. They lead complex reward projects and functional workstreams, taking ownership of broad outcomes while defining clear objectives and ensuring all solutions comply with established governance, policy, and legislative requirements. The position serves as an internal reward subject‑matter expert, independently resolving complex issues, interpreting internal and external reward conditions, and supporting the development of and to strengthen the capability across the HR function.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Advanced Reward Analysis & Insights: Conduct complex compensation, benefits, and workforce cost analyses, applying advanced analytical techniques to identify patterns, risks, and optimisation opportunities. Interpret internal and external reward trends to recommend evidence‑based solutions aligned with organisational frameworks. Validate data across Workday and related sources to ensure accuracy in modelling, reporting, and forecasting activities. Present high‑quality insights to all stakeholders, outlining clear solution pathways with limited need for guidance.
  • Reward Governance, Policy Interpretation & Compliance: Apply expert knowledge to interpret reward policies, regulatory requirements, and market practices, recommending updates that maintain internal consistency and compliance. Evaluate the impact of internal and external changes on reward frameworks and propose best‑practice solutions grounded in established methodologies. Support the maintenance of job architecture, job evaluation, salary structures, and governance processes using recognised approaches. Lead the creation and refinement of reward procedures, ensuring accurate and repeatable application across the organisation. Lead specialised reward workstreams or project components, providing direction on complex analytical requirements and ensuring deliverables meet defined standards. Develop project plans that specify scope, data requirements, dependencies, and measurable outcomes. Coordinate with cross‑functional stakeholders—including HR, Finance, Talent, Culture & Development, and external vendors—to ensure cohesive delivery. Evaluate project outputs, identify areas for improvement, and embed repeatable, best‑practice processes for future cycles.
  • Workday Reward Operations & Process Optimisation: Serve as the functional expert for reward activities in Workday, ensuring accurate configuration, data integrity, and process execution across compensation cycles. Diagnose system or process issues and propose solutions that increase efficiency, transparency, and user adoption. Translate business requirements into Workday‑ready specifications for enhancements, audit routines, and reporting improvements. Collaborate with HRIS teams to test, validate, and implement system changes to support reward governance and operational excellence.
  • Capability Building, Stakeholder Guidance & Knowledge Transfer: Provide expert guidance to all HR Partners and senior leaders on job evaluation, market pricing, promotions, adjustments, and policy interpretation. Develop clear documentation, guidance materials, and process standards to ensure consistent application of reward practices across the organisation. Influence adoption of reward programmes by educating internal stakeholders on programme design, business rationale, and expected outcomes.

What you’ll bring

  • A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or an equivalent field.
  • Proven experience as an Analyst or Senior Analyst within total reward or compensation.
  • Demonstrated experience using Workday for compensation processes, reporting, and data management.
  • Experience independently resolving complex analytical issues and designing evidence‑based reward recommendations.
  • Proven ability to lead workstreams, design analytical models, and deliver solutions within established governance frameworks.
  • Training in job evaluation methodologies such as WTW or Mercer is mandatory.
  • Expert knowledge of compensation, benefits, job architecture, and reward governance frameworks.
  • Advanced analytical capability, including root‑cause diagnosis and development of evidence‑based, solution‑oriented recommendations.
  • High proficiency in Workday, covering reward configuration, data validation, reporting, and compensation cycle operations.
  • Strong command of job evaluation methodologies and market benchmarking practices.
  • Proven ability to develop, interpret, and apply complex analytical models and scenario analyses.
  • Exceptional critical‑thinking skills to navigate ambiguity and resolve complex reward challenges.
  • High numerical accuracy and the ability to translate data into clear, actionable business insights.
  • Demonstrated capability to proactively partner with HR colleagues through intentional engagement, accountability for outcomes, and forward‑looking problem‑solving.
