The predicted salary is between 30000 - 42000 Β£ per year.
Responsible for the manufacturing of pharmaceutical products within designated suites, accountable for the processes within an assigned manufacturing area, working closely with cross-functional teams. Ensuring that production KPIs are delivered whilst meeting the highest standards of cGMP and Health & Safety.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Cell Leads in ensuring that the manufacturing targets are achieved within their respective area and work as a team to cover breaks and operational activities.
- Ensure that tasks for the oncoming shift are completed and prepared so they are starting from a good position, e.g. parts ready for changeovers, materials readily available, 5S and workplace management in good order.
- Participate in root cause analysis/problem solving as part of development and to enhance process knowledge/understanding.
- Work closely alongside Engineering and Quality teams as required to overcome and resolve atypical events.
- Understand and support KPI delivery, including but not limited to changeover time targets, run speed performance, and downtime or performance losses.
- Involve in Continuous Improvement initiatives and projects such as waste reduction and yield improvements.
- Champion small Kaizen projects and actively participate in the Autonomous Maintenance program.
- Support any validation activities including completion of Validation Protocols and sampling requirements.
- Take ownership of the working environment, delivering workplace management processes (5S delivery, GMP of area, stock levels).
- Manage own workload and resolve issues.
- Support the Co-Ordinator and Shift Manager through inputting of operational data (Downtime reporting, Maximo submission).
- Maintain good knowledge of the pre-requisite quality requirements and documentation.
- Raise DCRs for Batch Record & procedure updates to maintain operational & regulatory compliance.
- Comply with the security responsibilities of the operation.
- Ensure machinery is maintained in a safe, clean, and tidy condition.
- Maintain work areas to a good standard at all times, embedding workplace management.
- Carry out any other reasonable task as requested to help ensure that production operations maintain supporting demand and achieve improvements in performance, quality, and safety.
Qualifications / Required Capabilities:
- Knowledge of cGMP and Health & Safety standards in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
- Experience with manufacturing processes, KPI delivery, changeover, run speed, and downtime management.
- Experience with continuous improvement, Kaizen, autonomous maintenance, and validation activities.
