Role and Responsibilities

  • Independently project manage high-risk and/or high-value projects and provide programme-level oversight where required.
  • Define delivery approaches, governance and plans, tailoring Mundipharma PMO methodologies to suit project complexity and context.
  • Provide direction on and resolve complex issues with the specialism, using established procedures and existing solutions.
  • Act as a primary source of good practice and deliver high-quality support to teams and projects.
  • Manage scope, budget, risks, issues, dependencies and change to ensure delivery against time, cost, quality and benefit targets.
  • Provide clear, insightful reporting and recommendations to sponsors and senior stakeholders, enabling effective decision-making.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders and sponsors on project and delivery matters.
  • Facilitate alignment across cross‑functional and global stakeholder groups with competing priorities.
  • Anticipate and manage organisational impact, interdependencies, and change implications across related initiatives.
  • Be a willing, cooperative member of the central PMO team and Project Management Guild, acting as a primary source of project management good practice within the PMO and wider organisation.
  • Contribute to the development, refinement and advancement of PMO standards, tools, methodologies and ways of working engaging with peers to propose and implement any approved changes.
  • Train and mentor junior colleagues, supporting the development of required skills and knowledge.
  • Share knowledge, lessons learned and practical expertise across the PMO and Project Management Guild.
  • Maintain strong awareness of pharmaceutical regulatory requirements and ensure compliant delivery in regulated environments, always considering patient impact.

What you’ll bring

  • Previous Project Management experience leading cross‑functional projects in the Pharmaceutical / Life Sciences industry would be ideal.
  • Recognised subject‑matter expert in project and programme delivery.
  • Extensive experience managing complex projects and/or programmes in a global organisation with budgetary oversight.
  • Degree level qualification or demonstrated ability to operate at this level.
  • Professional project management certification e.g. PRINCE2 would be ideal.
  • Proven experience influencing and advising senior stakeholders.
  • Advanced practical experience with project management tools (e.g. SmartSheets, Microsoft Project).
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in ambiguous and complex environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving capability, applying sound judgment to novel issues and maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strategic and forward‑looking systems thinking to align delivery to organisational goals and manage interdependencies across initiatives.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation and influencing skills.
  • Understands the relevance of own area of responsibility / specialism to the employing organisation.
  • Strong accountability for outcomes and delivery through others.
  • Advanced risk and issue management capability.
  • Demonstrates initiative in process optimisation and operational efficiency.
